Manitoba Association

Of

Parliamentarians

The Manitoba Association of Parliamentarians (MAP) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage the study and use of parliamentary procedure in order to enhance the democratic process within all deliberative assemblies

A parliamentarian is one who is knowledgeable about parliamentary procedure and rules of order formally adopted by any assembly or organization.

MAP’s adopted parliamentary authority, the one that we recommend, is the current edition of Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised (RONR)*

*"RONR" is the standard abbreviation parliamentarians use to cite Henry M. Robert III and others, Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised, 11th ed. (Da Capo Press, 2011).

What exactly does MAP do?

MAP teaches people how to have better meetings through our educational seminars,  study groups, and providing access to various technical resources
