What is Manitoba Association of Parliamentarians (M.A.P.)?
The Manitoba Association of Parliamentarians is recognized as a professional non-profit association. Our objectives are to teach and promote the use of parliamentary procedure, and to facilitate more efficient and effective business meetings.
What is Parliamentary Procedure?
Parliamentary procedure defines how the members of an organization make decisions. Parliamentary procedure is integral to the fair operation of governments, corporations, charities, churches, and other organizations operating on democratic principles.
A parliamentarian is one who studies or is knowledgeable about parliamentary procedure.
M.A.P. uses the most current edition of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised (RONR) as its parliamentary authority.
